Casa De Crap

I thought it would be fun to start a blog to share with family and friends the progress we were making in our new house.

Like, for example, the paint job in the dining room.

(Wow.. couldn't I have taken a better picture?!?!?!  Can we say crooked!?)

Or, the fun of hanging my Spartan decoration on my new house.

(GO GREEN!)

But then this happened.

Yes, this.

 

 

Causing us to have to move everything out of the master, rip up the carpet, turn the water off, and shower at a friend's house.
Also causing us to have to call about 392847 people in the process of trying to get a "wonderful" home improvement store starting with "L" and ending with "OWES" to fix the problem, that was caused by their washer installation.

The "OWES" part of that is just about right, because when it comes down to it, they OWE us a lot of money to fix all of this water damage.

Long story short, after no plumber showed last night like they were supposed to, James called our home warranty company this morning to find out where the heck they were.  After telling them that we were living with NO water, they said they'd "try to see if they could find someone to come."  Finally, a plumber showed up at our house to fix the problem, and actually did put in writing that it was the fault of the store who installed our washer..... here's to hoping that now that we have it in writing we will getting our carpet, drywall, and plumbing bill taken care of by that place that OWES us.

So, you see, it wasn't supposed to be like this.  It was supposed to be bunnies, and flowers, and rainbows in our new house, maybe a lovely blog called "Our Beautiful New Home"....
but now......

Casa De Crap.
The water made me do it.
